UAS Remote Pilot

Praetorian Aeronautics is building counter drones, and we are seeking an experienced Remote Pilot to join the team.  The remote pilot is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). This role involves conducting a variety of test flights with fixed wing, multi rotor and VTOL aircraft all <25kg.

 

The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years operating drones and be able to demonstrate a high level of regulatory knowledge in accordance with CASA requirements.

Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Structural Engineer (Level3) to join our Flight Vehicle Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of airframe and structural components for advanced UAS platforms. This role spans the full lifecycle — from conceptual design and simulation through to prototype testing, certification, and in-service support.

 

The Structural Engineer will also play a leadership role, guiding a small team of engineers while working closely with multidisciplinary groups across aerodynamics, propulsion, systems engineering, and flight testing to deliver lightweight, durable, and certifiable structures that meet demanding performance, safety, and Defence requirements.

Systems Engineer (V&V Focus)

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with a Verification & Validation (V&V) focus to join our Flight Vehicle Development team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our next-generation UAS platforms.

The successful candidate will work across the full systems engineering lifecycle, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, system architecture, integration, and rigorous verification and validation activities. Key tasks include leading and executing FMEA, FMECA, fault tree analyses, safety assessments, and V&V planning and execution in both hardware and software domains.

The role requires a structured systems engineering mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for precision in high-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
